The REMIX: Frank’s Chop Shop
2024 | Collage, Wheatpaste, Mixed Media | Pop culture, music icons, urban art

In December 2024, I showed "The REMIX" at Frank’s Chop Shop in Rochester. It’s a gritty, underground barbershop. The place has a pool table in the middle and a secret door that leads to a snack shop. The space is raw. Fits my work well.

The show is about icons. Faces from music and pop culture—Metallica, A$AP Rocky, Norah Jones, Kobe, DMX, Iggy, RHCP. I tore, layered, and glued them into big collages. Four feet square. The images are torn and rough. A remix. A new energy.

My work is known in street art and pop culture circles. It’s gritty, real, and makes people think. It examines how images shape us and what they reveal about our times.

The show reached a lot of people—locals, street art fans, collectors, and critics. Collectors bought several of the images. It raised buzz in Rochester and online. It benefits anyone interested in urban art or media.

It moves the conversation forward. About remixing history and icons. About media and influence. About street art as a voice. I want young artists and collectors to see that old images can be powerful again, can tell new stories.

These images were widely shared online, extending the show's reach. Its power lies in its authentic connection to urban culture and the street art scene.
